The usual English title—“Acts of the Apostles”—corresponds to the Latin “Actus” or “Acta Apostolorum” and the Greek “Práxeis Apostolicón”. This is the title invariably given the book from the middle of the second century onwards in all Greek manuscripts, in early translations and in references in the works of the Fathers and ecclesiastical writers.
